Post USAF Updates Uniform Standards: Beards, Turbans, Hijabs - Now Authorized

So much for “uniform” - looks like assimilation has been thrown in the trash dumpster. The USA is becoming more One World/Tower of Babel, everyday.

In 2018 Staff Sgt. Abdul Rahman Gaitan became the first Muslim airman given permission to sport a beard, and a year later, Airman 1st Class Harpreetinder Singh Bajwa was allowed to wear a turban beard and long hair.

”New levels of dissimulation being reached for - and gained – in the faux journalism/gov spokesmen/shadowy ‘intelligence’ nexus which blends together the worst elements of controlled medias, puppet governments, & mafia-led ‘security’ forces, as our ‘post-reality’ era jets further and further away from any remotely real ‘events,’ authentic ‘leaders,’ & factual reporting.”

Just think of it as a continuation of relaxed grooming standards.

I thought Army had allowed Sikhs to wear their turbans and long hair beneath the turban for quite some time.

As far as the Muslims go, seems to me it would be kind of a double-edged sword for them. On the one hand it is a profession of faith, or the other hand it does 'announce' and therefore single them out for increased scrutiny.

However, you forget you're living in the current year.
Open profession is now more likely a shield *against* any scrutiny at all, lest the magical "discrimination" word be tossed out...

So much for the reasoning of "A clean shaven appearance also allows for a proper seal when wearing a protective mask".

    You do have a point.

No worries, Allah shall provide. Seriously if ever there was a time I'd want to be the "grey man" it would be if I was deployed. Make me a cookie cutter "uniform" that looks like everyone else so I never get singled out for special attention by my own or the enemy.

IDGAF what people wear as long as they do their job well.

We had a dude who was 'muslim' and once we deployed he claimed he couldn't be put in a position to shoot a fellow muslim. He was the least muslim muslim Ive seen in my life. Never once prayed or did anything else to indicate faith was something he cared about. Just a coward.

The whole beard thing is because of gas masks, and gas masks for most units are wastes of space/time/maintenance/accountability.

As for assimilation type stuff do people read history? I can't think of a better group of people than motivated Sikh's to go battle muzzies than anyone else on the planet.

    Think in broader terms.

Opening Pandora’s Box for religious beliefs won’t end with this change - it will move into other areas of personal conduct.

Wiccans, druids, witches have been accepted in USAF for several years (https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-...127-story.html).

In time, the yardstick will be moved further, and further, and further out.

We are entering the era of “anything goes.”

And those people were around 15+ years ago that I personally know of, and went to Iraq to do their job.

The pool of people you can recruit from is smaller than most people think. Especially for jobs with clearances. Friday after COB was always a parade of everything coming out of the barracks when an hour before everyone was in the same uniform with the same flag on their shoulder.

Jocko did a podcast with the last activity duty SEAL who served in Vietnam, and his entry to the Navy was either the military or jail time for running booze with the judge threatening a warrant for his arrest if he wasn't signed up by the next day.
