    S&W 29-2

So I spotted this 27–4 on the Internet. Took the car and drove 45 minutes to see it in person at the LGS.

    He happened to have several model 27, in 2 4 6 8 3/8 inches

In the pile of revolvers there was something different, I went “Hang on, that’s not a model 27, let me have a look”

    It’s a 6.5 inch model 29–2, pinned and recessed, from 1975 or 76

I still do not have a model 27, but the model 29–2 was mine for $900 including the combats grips of the 27-4

The LGS had also had a box full of old grips and he let me roam through it

I took six pairs for $200 and installed period correct targets with the football cut

That cylinder barely has a drag line on it. Nice find, especially for the price!

I have one that I bought off GB, the picture was terrible so nobody gave it a second look. I contacted the guy and got more better pics. It was fired twice at the factory from what my revolver gunsmith determined. The most beautiful blueing on planet earth. It was shipped in a bag, I shit you not and the box got all broke up but the gun still in great shape. Its one of the very few guns I don't shoot. Not much collectors value because no box and papers.

    Congrats on your fine purchase.

I bet that 29 made your day

Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.

Spent some time at the range sighting it in. It was hitting way left

And damn those reloads from 10 years ago were hot, 21 gr of (old) 2400 with a 240 gr FMC bullet.
