    Colt Python Silhouette

I was going to buy a S&W 27, and ended up with a 29 (that story is already posted).

The night before I picked it up at the LGS, he posted a Python Silhouette for sale in new condition, without box or papers. I couldn’t resist, asked him to put it aside for me, and picked it up yesterday for $ 2200 together with the Smith (and a SIG 210-4).

Here it is in all it’s glory

    Great gun OLIAR15!
My wife bought an 8" Python as a wedding gift for me in 1981. I then added a 4x Leupold scope and shot silhouette competition for several years.
Still have the snake but can't remember when and where the scope went.

Thanks guys. Just building up my modest collection slowly, and lately focusing more on meaningful and rarer guns versus run of the mill. And there’s been a flurry of interesting guns coming on the used and collectors market lately here in Switzerland. I suspect the generation above me (aged 75 and above) are getting rid of their guns.

I mean, compared to some people I know in the country. It is a gun country too, Switzerland.

Went to the 50 meters indoor range in order to sight it in

First 5 shots, looks like it set up for 200 meters with a slight crosswind

Then I noticed the mount was a little loose, tightened it and back at it. First correct the elevation

    Ok but it’s hitting left

    Right

    Left again argh

Ok, looks good enough to me

Now I’ve got to practice some

I also took along a S&W 629-2 Classic Hunter with an 8 3/8 barrel and a Leupold variable scope.
