@1168:
I have a BRT 16" MPR and it did the following:
"63*F 49% humidity
Wolf 55gr avg 2918 sd 21 Es 51
M855 62gr avg 2971 sd 15.5 Es 37"
Mine seems to be just a little bit faster than your 16" LPR, but they should be comparable in everything except the profile.

I got this same average previously in a Noveske stainless 14.5”, which was a pretty fast barrel. This barrel concerns us a bit, since my own PSA 16” barrel did not pass the 5.56? gauge test, so this one also may be “tight”. We also had to mortar it a few times later in the day.

As you can see, even in cooler weather, its hotter than M855. We’ll have to wait for it to get cold to shoot it up. (Don’t take that as advice)

1168 or anyone else with a Labradar...could yall run these side by side with a regular chrono..something like a ProChrono just to see how accurate the less costly chronos are?
I had up some good chrono info myself, was up for six/seven months then some dipshit said if I took those wth an optical chrono.."I can throw those results in the garbage".
So I went back, deleted errthang and did just that.
Would be cool to see how close they would be tho.

The obedient always think of themselves as virtuous rather than the cowards they really are.
Not quite what you asked, but here's a comparison of various chronos:

My 2¢: An optical chrono is precise enough. I have a ProChrono, and it meets my needs.
Mostly I'm clocking pistol rounds, and minor variations (<3%) because I don't have it set up perfectly straight or whatever don't really matter. (I'm not worried about testing for power factor, just clocking my reloads because I'm a geek.)
For rifle rounds, again, I don't think a couple percentage points really matters in terms of load development and/or calculating trajectories.
Or rather, if I was going to spend $500 on a new toy, it wouldn't be a fancy chrono...
