I may damn well be wrong..but Id bet an RC & a Moon Pie there aint TOO much difference.
More than likely you are correct.

Most of the dedicated tinkers like myself just like the mental sensation of thinking we have the best. It also comes down to the ease of operation. An Oehler system as do some others requires that hardware be directly in front of the muzzle, others attach to the barrel... LabRadar is set off to the side by varying amounts and with most muzzle breaks behind the muzzle.

I fired 11 rounds. Primers were pretty flat. Shot about an inch and a half at 100 off a Harris. 3-5 rounds. Could likely do a little better with little effort. New rifle that I’m looking forward to exploring.

As you can tell this load kinda sucks, but at least we won’t be popping primers anymore. Its about 50fps less than the too-hot load. We’ll probably go lower with the next batch. Maybe 0.2gr.

This barrel is getting old. Might have to retire it soon.

Hodgdon lists a starting load of 2.9gr, so we might try a little lower in a couple of months to try to stay under 1050.

Only fired 7rds. Hodgdon lists a starting charge weight of 3.0gr, so I might go lower and try this powder as a dedicated subsonic load. It looks like it might be better than Titegroup or Silhouette for that. (Edit: 3gr 244, Blue 147 FN, 1.1”, Ginex SP is an excellent subsonic load.)

Reminder, do not buy this stuff. It is dangerous. The numbers looked good today, but every now and then I get one round that's like 200fps high.

Any chance you can bring your unit out to AZ this weekend for the primer testing?

Let me whip up a load. I'm going to try to get you 10 rounds of the tightest SD humanly possible. Pappabear and I were talking about this. The reality is for most of our shooting, there's some level of corner cutting... be it not sorting brass, skipping an anealing, etc. You know? Balancing actual shooting against total torture of checking every damned thing.

I've wanted to load ammo where not one thing was left unchecked. Just to see if there was a measurable gain.

With weighing charges, single digit SDs are expected. But there's always a little more you can do.

Send 15-20 of each to account for errors capturing. I’ve got it pretty well figured out at this point, but I’d hate to report a string of 9 shots after you put all that work in.
