Shot a little more. 11.3” and 12.3” BA Hanson barrels, with M4SD-k. 80*F

    *Hornady Frontier 68gr 5.56

I noticed that there was a single round outlier that blew the ES. I’m gonna shoot this string again another day. This barrel has a very low round count, not sure if that matters.

We’ve noticed that the 16” barrel in the OP is “slow” in back-to-back comparisons with an 11.5” and 14.5” guns, with the 11.5” losing very little velocity, and the 14.5 getting more velocity than the 16”. You can see above that the 12.3” barrel had essentially the same velocity as the 16” with 68gr Frontier, but that was on different days with different temps.

No need to re-shoot: The software that came with my ProChrono lets me delete one shot (or more) in a string...

I'm sure the LabRadar does the same kind of thing, and if it doesn't then MS Excel certainly does.

That’s correct, on the LabRadar, you can delete any shots you’d like from the string.

Yeah, I could delete the outlier, but I want to shoot another string or two to confirm or bust my suspicion that it was a fluke.

The data I provided was from very new, at the time, ammo. We can speculate that its a bit lighter from what you and I discussed a couple years ago. Still, that is fairly hot ammo. There is a noticeable difference in recoil. Like maybe 5%, wild guess.

The 5.56 load I posted previously, 25.6gr WC846, 62gr Hornady FMJ, is now showing pressure signs in suppressed Geissele and PSA uppers. Popped primers, ejector swipes, 3040fps in the G SD 16”; definitely faster than expected. 40-140fps faster. So thats no good. More to follow. Its been working fine in BA barrels with LMT superbolts, although probably dangerous. It’s also functioned fine in a Colt upper. Again, almost certainly dangerous.

I would hope that no one reading this is trying to copy-pasta surplus powder handloads.

Have you had a chance to work up your CFE223 62 gr load? I am loading them right at 27 gr. and they shoot great. Unfortunately, My Magnetospeed isn't compatible with either my MK12 mod0 or the Block II FSP, because of lack of barrel real estate to strap to (block II), or getting the sensors in the right spot to clock speeds (mod 0). I will probably just sell it off and get the Labradar. I know I am at max powder charge, but I've worked up to this load and nothing is putting me off about it.

I'm asking from curiosity; do you think the pressure signs are showing due to the supressor(s) or caused by individual barrel differences? I understand it is academic at this point.
