I tried my hardest to stay off the RIA site over the weekend, as I do not need to be tempted to spend money right now. I was successful although I’m sure there were plenty of amazing firearms I could have drooled over.

Most of those multiple guns per one listing number are junk.

That is why they are sold that way.

It would be interesting to know where they round up all those guns from. From a getting the most for what you sell standpoint, I don't see how GunBroker can be beat.

They take very few pictures, especially for collector grade stuff.

A typical collector grade military firearm should have atleast 40 pictures showing all serial numbers, even those concealed when the gun is assembled.

They often times have ambiguous descriptions for items that are eluded to be matching collector grade condition, but I suspect they aren't.

I've never bought anything from them.

Ah, If I were a rich man... good on Ian, and all of you guys in the industry, to be able to be a part of history in such a cool way. I sure appreciate the videos they put out. Though the sword of Damocles seems to be perpetually over our heads, it is a great time to be a gun guy nonetheless.

That strategy will not get you top dollar for your sale.

Also, it could possibly set you up for a credit card dispute the buyer will win.

Say if the buyer pays $4000 for a gun that is really worth $700 because it is mismatched and the seller used misleading statements about the condition. The buyer will obtain examples of previously sold collector grade guns vs. the mismatched one and use this as evidence in a credit card dispute and will prevail.

I have done this before to people who have lied to me in a sale.
