Nice work! Can you tell me what finish you used on the receiver/barrel?

Thanks!
I wonder if anyone has done an AK-12 conversion of Saiga re-using the receiver, front trunnion and barrel.
Is this possible ?
Does anyone have links to photos of such a conversion ?
Please let me know if you do
I’d say it’s cost prohibitive only because you have to strip the both kits and weld the dust cover lever to the top or the rear sight… then open a hole for the lower handguard pin. If you’re looking for the correct barrel, you’d still need to buy the appropriate barrel with the contour for the grenade launcher and that can’t be had with the Saiga barrel.
M-13 in Las Vegas recently had pics on socialist media of a Kalashnikov USA rifle he converted into an AK-15. He used the gas parts and furniture from an AK-12 and installed them onto the KUSA. This included some reprofiling of the barrel to appear more correct.

“The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
Can you please give me a bit more info ?
What is socialist media ?
I did a bunch of searches on google to find the pics and nothing turned up. I did find the M-13 site, but they have no links from the site.
Thank you.
Facebook is where he posted.

Very nice!
Thank you, found it.
Shouldn't the barrel have a larger outer diameter than regular Saiga's for this to work ?
(So that it could be machined to the correct profile)
Also, I guess the trigger group from KR-103 was re-used as well.
I have a Saiga 5.45 I got years ago and a basic AK-12 kit (no trigger group, no trunnion).
So I am wondering which way to go.
I saw someone selling demilled AK-12 trunnions with gas tubes attached. But I also read demilled trunnions cannot be re-used.
Finding a 22mm Bulgarian trunnion is not easy these days, so looks like converting a Saiga might be a good choice for me.
