My Retro LaFrance M16k Clone Project

I spent two years working on this and the New Rifleman was kind enough to publish my article on the build

    Neat project.

By the way, the K gun appeared in several episodes of Miami Vice as well. It was handled by Sonny Crockett in addition to Frank Drebin.

    Neat setup.

Never knew that was a front sight and always assumed that was a mount missing the optic as a result of only seeing those pictured in British origin firearms reference books which aren't the best on the photo and text going together.

    Thanks for the enlightenment!

I like these odd builds. Very nice.

Was this in an old Jane’s book? Pings a memory, pretty sure from a book my dad had from the earlier 90’s.

Yes it was 😁 I still have several Jane's books from when I was a kid. The M16k shown in the book had a FSB gas block and chambered in .45ACP

Never seen one of those before. Nice write-up and very cool little rifle.

Nice build! Not too many can brag about having their wares in an article either!
    Good night Chesty...wherever you are.
