    Wondering about the 'LaFrance' moniker.
    Was there a connection to the fire truck/equipment company?
    Neat build. You fought a real battle with the carry handle sight!

    I don't think there was any connection to the fire truck company. I think they are still building M16ks, though.

    That sighting system is interesting.

    It would be cool to have some kind of simple return-to-zero QD system like that to run as an ultimate back-up kept in a bag.

    Someone with machining skills could make one that uses a rear dovetail and front hole to run standard Glock sights. Basically pick your Trijicons, Ameriglos, etc. and install them on the QD rail/riser thing set for a 50m zero.

    Had another look at the pics the OP posted; is that a Blade 'brace' as a buttstock? Great workaround, and that is a handy little carbine.
