I say Trump if re elected should stack the SCOTUS too. It's been tradition to have 9 justices since around the early 1900s but there's no limit to the number allowed. The Democrats have threatened the SCOTUS if they sided with gun rights they would stack the court with antigun justices. So Trump should add more conservative"pro 2A justices just for spite.

Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American… The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state government, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people”

It is interesting to me though, that many who are fervently opposed to abortion are perfectly fine with starting more wars.
Problem is its a fetus if im a woman and want to kill my own... but it magically becomes a living baby if its killed by a drunk driver. Pick one... I dont care which, but we need to uniformly quantify when “life” starts... or at least legally.

This reminds me of something I saw the other day, taking the lack of clear line to its logical conclusion...

I agree and pray it endures to preserve this great nation.

If it came down to another civil war. an armed fight. the RED would destroy the BLUE. I really do not want to see that. I want to see, in my lifetime, the checked and balanced government of the USA to prevail from the people via their fair votes.

My favorite line is, “if gun control saves just one child’s life it’s worth it”.

Unless it goes against they’re right to choose.

    WHICH IS IT

Agreed. Huge paradox there. I'm not necessarily pro-life, but I'm anti-hypocrisy for the rule of law.

I think it would go to the distinction between fetus and unborn baby. You can't do a "day before delivery" abortion.

So if a woman loses the pregnancy during the first month due to being hit by a drunk driver, doesn't count. But in the 8th month it counts. Abortions in the late second trimester and early third trimester are illegal in most countries.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

The laws are all over the place on it - some states deem it feticide after conception, some 7 weeks, some 12 weeks, and some not until "viable". As I'm sure you're aware, there is no federal "cutoff date" for an abortion - Roe v. Wade only mentions viability. If abortion is a "right" as guaranteed by the Court (through an abstract interpretation of the Constitution), then any state feticide law is hypocritical and counter-federalist. Making no judgments on the morality of abortion, I'd rather we just picked one and go with it, either a fetus is a person or it's not, for the sake of the constitutional construction.
