What we will see, even if Trump wins another term, is that they will either go full bore and pack the court, or start the more subtle retirement and rotation schemes like Mayor Pete has talked about. The courts have been too powerful of an ally for them to push their unpopular ideas, and they'll have to have them back for the last pushes.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.
It's that simple.

So, I see two things: 1) The justices are showing favoritism to the Trump administration, or anyone on the right, because they are conservative. Or 2) maybe they are just following the law all along, and left are getting their panties in a wad because they simply don't like it. I suppose there's a third option, which is a combination of the two.

We need two circuits with different rulings to get SCOTUS off the bench. You have whatever kangaroo kourt Maryland is in for its mag ban, we need a contra case to force the issue.
