No that's just fake CGI. Nobody has ever been to 5000ft, it's all fake CGI NASA conspiracy, and gravity doesn't exist and Antarctica is an impenetrable ice wall that surrounds the entire (flat) earth.

In all seriousness, I did feel bad for the poor guy when I watched the video and saw his rocked plummeting to the ground with no parachute.

A metaphor for all flat earther types.

Why was this intended for the Science Channel?!?
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

I spent a summer in VA Beach, and you can see ships disappear hull first as they sail away. What is the big mystery about the globe for these people? The ancient Greeks would view eclipses by looking into a well and knew the earth was round. You have to wonder.

Skydivers generally use a rule of thumb of 10 seconds for the first 1,000 feet and then 5 seconds per thousand feet thereafter.

So that is roughly 30 seconds to confront your mortality. I'm not sure a lot of folks think about what that might be like before they make jokes.

That is one reason I was relieved to find out that Kobe Bryant's helicopter likely impacted the ground in fog, I would have hated to think of his daughter enduring 10 seconds or more of terror.

This guy knew what he was in for if his equipment failed, still, it probably wasn't pleasant.

The only thing that flat-earthers fear, is sphere itself.

The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

It's an ego thing, they seem to have this unbreakable self assurance that they're actually smarter than everybody else, that they're the only ones who really know the truth. They are so sure of their beliefs that no amount of reason or facts will convince them that they are wrong, and they have an answer (however idiotic it is) for almost every argument. The only other group that I can think of that is on that level of delusion would be celebrity Scientologists.
