    Hand Guards

Looking at replacing the old-style hand guards on my Colt 6920 and don't want to break the bank! Looking at Stngr (Stinger) and Areo Precision Atlas, Any body know about these 2 companys?
    Thanks

I used a BCM QRF on an OEM-1 and it's super nice. Didn't add any weight either.

Kinda thinking that smooth sides would be kinda nice, don't plan on hanging other then a light on the hand guard.

    Is magpul too expensive?
AQ planned for years and sent their A team to carry out the attacks, and on Flight 93 they were thwarted by a pick-up team made up of United Frequent Fliers. Many people look at 9/11 and wonder how we can stop an enemy like that. I look at FL93 and wonder, "How can we lose?". -- FromMyColdDeadHand

The newer Aero ones would work fine. I have heard ok things about stinger as well, but would go another route personally

    What length do you need?

Larue has new ones that are priced under $130 and very nice.

ALG also make a nice simple handguard in their V0 version

They use a Centurion Arms OEM rail on the Colt Troopers. Chris at Shark arms has those for $150 for the 13.5 inch which is an awesome price for a really good rail

You could use a KAC RAS or DD Omega. Or, Centurion makes the C4 which uses a standard GI barrel nut.

Don't mind getting rid of old style barrel nut just want to get rid of the 2 piece (or more) Hand Guard. Looking to stay in the "Ain't going to break the bank" group of products. Was thinking that a 7" free float would allow me to still keep my front sight/gas block so I could keep the gun clean with out all the doo-dads. Just want to keep the OEM front sight.

A 7" LaRue would fit perfect.

They're SOLID and have been in use for a long time. I'd take one over a RISII.
