Course Descriptions:

Tactical Rifle Class I (2 Days)
Prerequisite: You must have previous training or competition experience (IDPA, USPSA, 2-Gun or 3-Gun). It would be ideal to have an 8-hour carbine course.

Description
This 2-day class covers the basic tactical use of the carbine (AR Platform 5.56/.223). It begins with the basics, including fundamentals of marksmanship, equipment selection, safety, manipulations, reloads (tactical & speed), and malfunctions. Students will increase their proficiency in close to midrange firing, tactical engagement of targets, ballistics review, the use of cover and move into more advanced drills. Primary focus is raising the accuracy level and tactical handling of the carbine. Students will continue to improve their carbine handling skills while reinforcing the fundamentals of marksmanship. Timed drills will help the student learn the balance between speed and accuracy. Students will also learn self-diagnostic skills to continue development of their own personal performance.

Zeroing: Your carbine must be zeroed prior to this class. We recommend a 50/200m zero, but 25 & 100 are also acceptable for the course.

Advanced Covert Carry Skills Course (2 DAYS)

Prerequisite: Previous pistol course (min 2 day) or USPSA “C” Classification/IDPA Marksman or higher.

Description
This is fast paced course and will test your limits! Initially designed for U.S. Government and Special Operations personnel for their Low Profile shooting requirements. All shooting will start from concealment, giving you the opportunity to quickly learn the necessary skills needed for conceal carry. Focus will be on shooting techniques that will allow you to rapidly eliminate threats with a concealed pistol. There will be a strong emphasis on shooting from concealed carry, flashlight techniques, moving, one handed shooting, seated shooting, vehicles, reloading under stress, immediate action drills and scenario drills. We will stress speed and accuracy while covering handgun manipulation skills that will enable the shooter to more effectively use their pistol. Students will learn self-diagnostics to continue development of their own personal performance, how to practice and tracking one’s own skill level.

-Serpa holsters or similar holsters that use the trigger finger to deactivate a retention device are NOT allowed
-3-5 magazines of 10 round capacity (minimum).
-Clear eye protection, hearing protection (electronic recommended), and baseball cap.
-Food, water, snacks and appropriate clothing.
-Optional: Smart phone or Smart Pad/Tablet capable of recording video.
