People are stupid. This whole panic makes me wish more of them would actually die.

Yep. And stores will be getting multiple calls saying “when you get your toilet paper shipment, don’t bother putting it out. Just call me and I’ll come buy it all.” When I was at the gun store back during the panic years, that was every other call for .22.

Wife and I took the trip to Walmart and Kroger this afternoon, in search of a few stuff for us and our elderly parents. Things were surprisingly calm today, other than the lack of toilet paper, hand sanitizers/wipes, bread and cold medicine, most of the shelves were fairly stocked.

I had to run by ACE this morning so the wife gave me a list for the grocery store too. some basics, not much. I was happy to find that the store was not busy. got her few things, some bourbon and beer for me and was out in a few minutes. That was at a Yokes, small local store. Now yesterday I was a Albertsons in Pasco. Only needed a few items for work and we always stop there on the way from the Hotel to the Yard Office. The place was packed. Line took about 20 minutes. Local Bi-Mart is out of 9MM and 556 as of yesterday. I'm hearing of a ammo run on a few stores.

I went to a local BBQ joint after church and picked up some smoked brisket and jalapeno-cheddar sausage. It was delicious, and the line was about normal.

Oh, and the peach cobbler was awesome as well.

That was all the staples I picked up today.

Pro Tip: if you can't get hand sanitizer, you can make your own with rubbing alcohol and aloe vera gel--four parts of minimum 80% strength to one part aloe will do ya at a 64% final strength, minimum for effective sanitation being 60, but 3 parts 91% to 1 part aloe ends up pretty close to the commercial 70% formulas.
