Its a virus. Hand sanitizer kills bacteria.

The paper I read on hand sanitizer killing a virus was that it took 5 minutes of full wet saturation... you aint doing that with a little squirt of purel. All hand sanitizer does to a virus is to move it around.

Better to make up a 10:1 water:bleach solution which WILL kill it instantly but you will stink of bleach.
It also kills viruses but depends on the amount of alcohol. If you're doing 50% you're just playing with yourself. Need at least 60ish% better 70% and higher

And why bother mixing when you can just stick your hands in a bottle of bleach

The paper I read said that, yes, it will kill it, but it can take 5 minutes of saturation... which aint happening with a little splooge of purell... Purell claims 70% alcohol, but again, without a lot longer saturation time, its not doing shit but moving things around. The author claimed that washing your hands with water only would do about 50% of what soap & water will do as far as washing the virus off of your hands... He claims that even soap does nothing to "kill" the virus, it simply removes it and washes it down the drain.

The "mist" spray the grocery store had yesterday smelled like bleach... and I think the stand it was in had a clorox label on it. Im ok with smelling like bleach.

I don't particularly care about smells. My breakfast includes two cloves of garlic.

It's hard to wash your hands in the car

^ We have a clove or two daily, supposedly it is an anti viral.

Plus it keeps the politicians, I mean, vampires away.....

Went to Market Street, found everything minus paper goods. Went to TSC for our regular dog/cat food run; everyone in that store was buying nothing but animal feed.

Panic buying finally hit the base commissary at Tinker. Zero paper products of any type, zero bleach wipes, canned soups hard hit (though apparently Campbell's condensed Minestrone soup isn't that popular), zero bread, zero Ramen noodles and other areas hard hit.

Couple of us old timers had chuckles over the lack of items, but I was amazed at the amount of personnel there. Way more than I usually see. DECA must be loving it.

If, as Trump alluded to at today's press conference, this shit carries on into July or August then retailers need to severely limit the amounts people can buy at one time. Can you imagine empty shelves for the next 4 or 5 months because of these assholes?

To be fair, I don't go to Costco, Sam's, and try to avoid Wal-Marts too, but most shoppers (not all) have been reasonable in what amounts they are buying.

If the lights go out and the water doesn't come out of the spigot we're screwed as a nation. I personally feel that the PRIMARY mission of any National Guard call-ups should be those two vital elements of infrastructure, enforcing shit should come further down the list of priorities.
    You got it.

Well, hopefully they won't need toilet paper over the next few...years.

Two main stores in town HEB and WalMart.
The toilet paper, paper towel and wipes isles are wiped out as soon as they are restocked.
It would be wise for you to get your hands on some Bleach, Paper Towels, dish Soap and an empty spray bottle. I'm mixing up my own cleaner/disinfectant. Straight bleach with dish soap in a spray bottle, I use it on everything let it set a minute then wipe off.
I was stocked up in January, this has little effect on me, but I'm checking on the neighbors.
