It would be wise for you to get your hands on some Bleach, Paper Towels, dish Soap and an empty spray bottle. I'm mixing up my own cleaner/disinfectant. Straight bleach with dish soap in a spray bottle, I use it on everything let it set a minute then wipe off.
I was stocked up in January, this has little effect on me, but I'm checking on the neighbors.
Bleach and dish soap is a no-go. You are getting less benefits if each and possibly creating toxic chemicals.
Unless you KNOW what you are doing, do not mix bleach with anything but water.

Dishsoap wash, followed by bleach would be most effective. Its still overkill and should be reserved for situations with likelihood of contamination (common areas with high volumes of unknown traffic). More liberal application if you are at risk.

The author claimed that washing your hands with water only would do about 50% of what soap & water will do as far as washing the virus off of your hands... He claims that even soap does nothing to "kill" the virus, it simply removes it and washes it down the drain.

The "mist" spray the grocery store had yesterday smelled like bleach... and I think the stand it was in had a clorox label on it. Im ok with smelling like bleach.
Cdc says 60% or higher and rub until dry.
Washing your hands is obviously the best, bleach 2nd, hand sanitizer or alcohol 2nd.

Anything labeled “disinfectant” will kill 99+% viruses, but as you say, most need to sit. They are ussually meant to be applied and air dried, not sprayed and wiped like most people do. Again, washing, followed by sanitizing/disinfecting is the best.

Instead of local, state and federal governments chasing their tail testing countless millions of people and all the other things they're trying to do, focus on bringing food and meds to the elderly at home. Family, friends, neighbors, church, local community, as well as Amazon, UPS and FedEx. Setup a hotline phone bank and websites for the elderly. Let the rest of America go on with their lives.
It sounds like the UK might go this way. I’m still hearing about 30-40yo having issues that need hospitalization. We’ll see.

Its a virus. Hand sanitizer kills bacteria.

The paper I read on hand sanitizer killing a virus was that it took 5 minutes of full wet saturation... you aint doing that with a little squirt of purel. All hand sanitizer does to a virus is to move it around.

Better to make up a 10:1 water:bleach solution which WILL kill it instantly but you will stink of bleach.
Somethings better than nothing until you get home. The washing with soap rinsing and then letting bleach stand out it was the standard when we had to do parent stuff at the preschool.

Bananas were back-in force today, but no pasta. Surprised that people have not cleaned out the hotdogs and the cheese. A fair amount of pork tenderloin was actually in stock. I eat that on a good day. Was able to save the day and find some single servings of Lucky charms for my daughter. But I got the wrong kind of singleserve mac & cheese. Fail. They really need to limit people from boarding. Restrictions on the amounts of stuff they buy or something.

My wife has for bid me from going to the store or buying any more food. Not hoarding, but enough food.

Are you guys still ordering takeout or pick up from restaurants?

I don't mind stores limiting the quantity of stuff people can buy. Wife went to Costco last night and they limited the purchase to only two similar items. Stuff were aplenty. Although she didn't check the toilet paper.

I think what UK wants to do is get everyone sick that way there's immunity to it and it won't be passed on to the elderly. How they plan on limiting contract with the elderly prior to that no one knows.

Always cook at home. Take out is on rare occasions. In the last 3 months I had take out twice and feel like I was overdoing it.

Went out for dinner last night. It was quite refreshing to be around non-retarded people. Since the grocery stores are temporarily wiped clean by imbeciles, I'm eating out to keep my house food inventory up in case the media manages to continue to scare the brainless masses.

HEB is again allowing order / curbside pickup to assist with the distancing...wife placed order yesterday & will be available on the 30th. Crazy but at least she doesn't have to fight the mental.

Amazon told sellers and vendors on Tuesday that it was suspending shipments of all nonessential products to its warehouses to deal with the increased workloads following the coronavirus outbreak. Amazon is now prioritizing medical supplies, household staples, and other high-demand products to its warehouses until April 5.

Stores beginning to adopt a time for 'seniors only shopping' Early in the morning when things are restocked and no one else is allowed in store but the elderly. Makes sense. Overnight things can be sanitized and shelves restocked before the hordes enter hacking and coughing on everything.
