I suspect the airlines are bleeding money right now. I have an employee who's son-in-law flew to Denver from OKC on Thursday. There were only three passengers total on the flight.
I certainly could see the domestic airlines starting to pull back substantially, though I doubt they go through with a blanket ban.

Juan Brown on the YT "blancolirio" channel is a commercial pilot. Very informative. He just did a couple updates on the industry.
Delta, per CEO letter to employees, is scaling back 30%. United will cut 75% of international flights.
Presently negative booking, i.e., more seats canceled than reserved.
You know, in a few months people are going to be whining that everyone freaked out and nothing really bad happened. I bet some will even try to sue for some reason or another.
What they will be missing is that preventing anything bad from happening is WHY these companies are doing this.
Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.
Media outlets should be slaughtered in the town square for the ridiculous panic and over-reaction they've caused. You can't yell "fire" in a movie theater right?

My company has put out no guidance on wholesale cancellation of flights. We are not exposed to the north atlantic or north pacific routes though.
We have a few(I heard ~25) airplanes that need to be retired that we were holding on to and those will be retired ASAP.
The airline industry is like a giant ship that doesnt turn on a dime so rash decisions are not the name of the game unless forced to. Carriers that have exposure to Europe and Asia have no choice when the .gov basically says you cant fly there and then they also have no connecting passengers flying domestically so they have to make faster more drastic cuts. My carrier isnt in that position...currently...
Actually... In a few months we will all be saying wow that was an over reaction and it didnt do sh!t other than cause small businesses and line level workers to go bankrupt or get (further) behind in their payments. And oh the economy sucks now, clearly the dems manipulated this..

The casino industry is already starting to shut down their resorts in Vegas in other cities. This is weird time. A disease is starting to cause an economic recession.
