I’m a sucker for OD green..

After many years of “settling” for issued guns or factory-configured guns, I bought everything to do it myself and spec’d them exactly the way I wanted.

My 10.3 and 14.5 (Saker 556K is still in ATF jail)

I too love some OD green on my rifles. These look great!
How did you go about selecting your parts to meet your needs? What barrels did you choose?

I dig the pairing of 14.5” with 10.5”. Is the 14.5 pinned, or have you just not bought a muzzle device for the Saker yet? Or do you not intend to use it with the Saker? Why no sling or light on the 14.5”?

Before a mod comes along and locks this, can you list parts and why they were chosen?

    Thanks!

They are Ballistic Advantage barrels. I will post a build sheet for each.

It’s not pinned, and I did buy a Q Cherry Bomb for the 14.5 as well I just haven’t installed it since the can isn’t here yet. (The can will mostly live on the 10.3 though.)

The intent with the 10.3” is to be used on duty. Here is the build sheet for that one:

    Upper:

    Aero Precision Upper
    Geissele MK14 Rail
    Ballistic Advantage Hanson 10.3 Barrel
    Superlative Arms Gas block
    V7 Inconel Gas tube
    Toolcraft NiB C158 BCG
Cherry bomb by Q Muzzle device
    BCM Mod 0 Charging handle
    Surefire M300 Light
    BCM Mount
    Cloud defense switch mount
    Geissele Buis
    Aimpoint T2 Optic
    Larue 660HK Mount
    SLR Handstop
    BCM Covers

    Lower:

    Noveske Gen 1 Lower
    BCM Extension
    Magpul Grip
    Geissele S3G Trigger
    Magpul STR Stock
    Magpul H2 Buffer
    Springco Spring
    Lancer B5 Mag
    Noveske Pins
    Noveske Endplate
    Strike Industries mag release
    Battle Arms safety
    Badger Ordnance bolt catch

The 14.5” is intended as a do-all gun that can do coyote duty as well as be a patrol-rifle if needed.

I just wanted to keep the front end of that one light, since it has a heavier optic on it, is why it doesn’t have a light. I just took the sling off to help fit them in the photo, lol. I use the same type sling for both.

    Here’s a build sheet for the 14.5:

    Upper:

    Aero Precision Upper
    Ballistic Advantage mid gas barrel
    BCM gas block
    BCM original KMR handguard
    Toolcraft NiB C158 BCG
    Troy BUIS
    BCM Med charging handle
Primary Arms 1-6 FFP w/ACSS Raptor reticle
    ADM Recon mount
    Midwest rail covers

    Lower:

    Aero Precision Lower
    BCM extension
    Magpul ACS-L
    Magpul grip
    Large MBT 2 stage FCG
    Battle Arms Safety
    Seekins mag release
    Seekins bolt catch
    H2 buffer

Those look great. Not many people seem to use them, but I'm a fan of the Midwest rail covers too. I like the texture and how low profile they are on the BCM KMR. I wouldn't mind seeing a snap-in M LOK version of the same panels, but I know there are already a lot of other options out there.
