I own and use two of them. I needed something to replace red dots because of astigmatism. I love these things. Perfect for me.

I now see Steiner makes prism optics as well. They cost a bit more. Anybody use the Steiner.

It's the Steiner made in China? I assume the upcharge is commensurate with Western labor.

Don't know. Would have to research. Prices as I recall are in the 500-600 range.

Hey Guys, I know this is an older thread now but I searched before posting this but couldn't find anything. I have a Spitfire 1x mounted on my SHTF rifle, because of terrible astigmatism. Was cleaning my rifle and optic and noticed that you can very clearly see the illuminated reticle from both ends of the optic. At 30" I can still see red or green from the business end. So here are my questions.

1. Is this normal for prismatic optics?
2. This seems problematic for nighttime work in a SHTF scenario, or am I over thinking it?
3. Can anyone recommend a prism optic that doesn't give away your position at night?

Thanks in advance. Still new to this and trying to figure stuff out.
