    23.8-24gr of tac. It puts you in 556 pressure, my 16" is hitting right at 2700fps with single digit sd.

    Have you found a good SBR/SPR load with the 77gr CC?
    I settled on 24 gr TAC so far for function and no pressure signs. I donít have a chrono and havenít shot for accuracy yet.

    Ok, thanks. Still reloading .308 for the near future. I will get started on 556/223 soon enough.

    Interesting, I only get 2670 FPS from a 18 inch with 24g TAC.

    Could be a lot variance. I've had unbelievable swings in extruded powders. Primers have gained 40 fps for me too on same batch test run with only primers as the variable. And then the individual barrel can shoot faster/slower too.

    I looked back and it was 2640. I do load mine to 2.245 though. With the differences in length of the bullets, mag length wasnít working for me

    Some may find this video of interest regarding TAC & a 77 grain OTM:

    It looks like a load in the neighborhood of 24.0 grains (Johnny got the best accuracy @ 23.9 & 24.2) is spot on for an accuracy load.

    I run 24.5 of Tac with the 77 SMK and CC. This round is hovers right around 1moa at 100 and makes hits at 600 easy with my 13.9 Criterion.

    I also like that I don't have to change my powder charge at all when going from 77 grain to 55 as my blasting ammo is also 24.5 grains.

    Add me to the group that is getting lower than average speeds with TAC.

    24.0 = 2549 avg SD 9 ES 18 with 77gr SMK

    24.3 only got one shot across the chrono that read 2650.

    Im not mad as I have H335 in abundance and have a good load for it making 2700 out of my 16".
