    Here’s the next round:

22.5 gr. H322, same cases, same bullets, but seated to 2.255.”

    Avg.: 2,577 fps.
    ES: 47
    SD: 18

And this is with an 18" barrel?

With the WOLF primer I'm at 22.9 with my current lot of powder, and that's solid. The CCI primers with that load spike up the pressure too much.

I've not found OAL to play any noticeable impact, so I just load to 2.250" +/- to ensure mag fit. A 5.56 chamber has so much leade, that the initial bleed off seems to equalize different seating depths (within reason)

    Hi Mark,
No, a 16". Funny you mention 22.9, I just loaded a very small test run of that last night.

I'm a bit surprised that the velocities have been in the range they've been, I expected higher.

It's hard for me to translate velocities on anything but a 20" barrel. We chrono everything on the same 20" bolt gun for consistency.

Actually the 22.9 is my 69 gr load. 21.6 to 21.9 is my 77 load. But you're working up so I'd try it if your velocity is below par. H322 is pretty good about giving pressure signs if you're getting hot.

Ah, I see. I'm trying to get something that will work well in 16", 14.5" and 11.5" barrels.

I just noticed I made an error above, the load I worked up last night is actually 23.1 gr.

H322!? Geez. I just got some and tried 22.0 and got light swipes, and sooty brass, 2600fps in a 14.5".

We have a practice match/intro to prs thing tomorrow so im loading some up right now. Ill chrono more tomorrow with no silencer.

Do you guys work up the loads with or without a supressor?

Edit: I am an IDIOT!!! The soot is the blowdown into the mag cause Im shooting with a silencer. Mystery solved lmao.

We have to pull the can to get velocities with our Chrono, we have two but the one we use most, we have to pull the can.

H322 is forgiving and will tell you when you're hot. But lot to lot variations in velocity are a REAL thing. I've blown primers on a charge much lighter than a previous lot/load.

Im right around 2600 in the 14.5, but the sd seems larger than the tac., i think the fast powder does not like the cci41s. Gonna try some milder primers with the 322 and save the 41s for the tac.

Both loads are hitting to 650yards. Ill try some 100yd groups later today

Recent production 41s are giving me problems every single week. They're so bad, I might use them for 55 gr FMJs.
