    Handguard Heat

    Besides from wearing a glove or moving my hand placement, how do I get past the FSB heating up the front hand?

    You might have to modify something like this to accommodate for the fsb, hope it helps.

    Most shouldn’t be a problem. Try the BCM ones, I think they just snap in.

    You would have to cut them to make them fit with the Troy rail, but I think he wants something that covers part of the FSB, which I don't think they really have a commercial solution for.

    I would cut off the bayonet lug and sling swivel too. They probably transfer heat to your hand.

    From the pic it looks like your bayonet lug and sling swivel thingy stand proud of the handguard. Remove them with a grinder, or have ADCO or somebody do it for you. Then install rail panels longer than that gap. Avoid ones with metal screws if you can.
