We Were Soldiers and Black Hawk Down were probably the two best war movies in the past twenty years, and two of the best of all time.

I also love Clint Eastwood's two classics: Kelly's Heroes and Where Eagles Dare (though the latter is more of a war/spy film).

As for Brandon Webb, I don't know what the hell he's talking about getting pissed off by servicemen acting unprofessionally. That's kinda the pot calling the kettle black coming from a SEAL; no offense to the SEALs who do it right, but given all the crap going on in the Teams right now, it's hard to take him seriously when he acts like it's unfair to portray some members of the military as unprofessional.

Hard to say Top 10. I know I'll remember one and then fight to figure out which one of these I'll have to bump to make room...

    In no particular order:
    Sand Pebbles
    Mr Roberts
    Oh What Lovely War
    Black Hawk Down
    Saving Private Ryan
    We Were Soldiers Once
    Gallipoli
    Platoon
    Breaker Morant
    Zulu

Breaker Morant is one of my very favorite movies. It is based on the book "Scapegoats of the Empire" which is absolutely worth reading.

There are lessons in that book that transcend national boundaries or rank.

And it's only a buck on Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/Scapegoats-Em...=UTF8&qid=&sr=

Given that 10-shots are a group and 5-shots may be a favorable trend ... know that just one good 3-shot group can make you an instant internet superstar!

Good list. And while we are at it, Apocalypse Now isn't really a war movie but a film in a war setting.

The original list might as well be "Some Navy SEALs favorite films", being a SEAL doesn't make you an expert on film or a film critic, I bet he has some 2 Fast, 2 Furious DVDs in his personal collection. Additionally a lot of veterans simply can't watch war films unless it's entertaining or about a person / unit they know first hand. I know more than a couple guys "regular military" who can't watch Blackhawk Down anymore, even though they loved it when it first came out, because it's realistic enough to bring back some of the harder memories of Iraq. They all seem to know a few guys who didn't make it home and survivor guilt is a real thing.

    WOLVERINES!!!! Red Dawn.
Not really, but had to be said.

Bridges of Toko Ri over Hurt Locker. Hell, "Heathers" over Hurt Locker.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

    Two of my favorites.

On a couple side notes, I can watch anything with Grace Kelly and I'd like to more Korean War movies.

For Korean War movies it is hard to beat Pork Chop Hill and All the Young Men. Either of those could easily be in my top ten, too.
