A friend has offered to trade a NIB CZ 75 CTS, plus $1000, for one of my HK hard chromed P7.
The CZ CTS is no longer made, and was a limited run.
Should I do it?

Do you have more of the P7 guns? it seems like a solid deal with the 1k added the CZ retailed for 1600 i believe. What do you value the hard chrome P7? I saw one listed on a search that was a year old for $1800 but not sure if that is accurate price wise.
I really like CZs and if didnt have on and had several of the other i would do it personally, but again not sure of P7 value
I love my CZ's. That said, I wouldn't make the trade. The only reason that the CTS is no longer made is that CZ is choosing not to make that particular variant at this time. They could start making them again tomorrow or they could start making a variant that's very similar. The hard chromed P7's are gone and will never be made again. That's my take, but do what makes you happy.
I am not near as huge a fan of that HK series as others from a practical, great gun standpoint.
From a near, collector standpoint, I recognize it’s status.
Like many a vintage watch I have traded or sold in the past, that are now worth even more than they had appreciated to at the time,
I suspect your HK will continue to do so while the CZ has a much more limited base of seekers.
I have sold watches or traded at values 3, 4, 5 times more than I had paid. Yet, 10 or 15 years later, some are five or ten times more valuable.

“Where weapons may not be carried, it is well to carry weapons.”
Keep the P7. It’s value will always be going up.
I asked the same question at the CZ forum.
I got the same answer even from hard core CZ fans.
Keep the HK.
My friend is really wanting one of my P7, but I am going to stay with the HK.
It also would have violated a principle of mine. If all CZ pistols used the same magazines I would have bought some steel guns, but I got into CZ with P07/9.
So my CZ's will remain plastic and my HK's will stay in my safe

I am going to celebrate the end of the situation, by going on a P7 buying spree.
