No point in the armorers course unless your job requires it.

However, if you own, shoot, and carry Glocks, it's definitely a good investment to fully understanding the platform (not that you couldn't learn all you would in the course from YouTube). The advanced course is where it's at, but you have to take the basic course first (and then wait 2-3 years...forget which).
My two year anniversary was last month. Was looking forward to taking the advanced course...Oh well...Glock parts are so friggen cheap its criminal not to have a huge stockpile of them.

Local gun shop gives me one of their blue certs as needed. Zero cost other than a little travel...

I have many Glocks (13 or 14, I can’t remember), but some are old as from the 90s. Never had issue with MIM in them. Only replace springs and extractors.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Midwest Gun Works and Lonewolf are a couple other places where you could price parts. I have ordered from them (and Big Tex) in the past; I got sick of dropping $15 on new recoil spring assemblies + shipping, so I became a Glock armorer.
Midwest or Brownells are usually my go-to. If it's backordered on Brownells, I've never waited more than a week to 10 days for the part to ship - mostly Gen 5 TRS and housing.
