Gotta assume anyone with substantial muscle memory would do similar.
Have to admit that 5 yds and in, given a coarse/large target I simply reference slide in lower peripheral vision and bang away if the timeframe is tight.
Still, I prefer using sights whenever possible.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.
That a hard trained professional standing perfectly still on a square range in great lighting shooting a perfectly still target at close range while aiming carefully can use the top of the slide to aim even if it doesn't have sights on it?
Okay.
SO yeah, what's the point as it relates to, say, a defense (or duty) firearm that may be used while moving against a moving target in poor lighting from an awkward position and going several times faster?
