    m16a1/a2 clone lower?

Have a Windham weaponry complete 20" A1 upper ive had in the closet for a bit. They seem to stay sold out on these uppers. Ive contemplated selling/trading it off but at the same time id like to buy/build a lower for it. What would yall recommend for a good A1/A2 lower to complete this thing? Buy complete to assemble one? Not looking to go all out on it but still make it a decent clone/range toy.

If you want a complete lower I might look at SOLGW. I would call them and tell them what you are looking for and they can probably get something close to what you are looking for.

Otherwise, if you want something clone correct, reach out here https://charliescustomclones.com/col...tock-complete/, much more expensive but as close to the real thing as I've seen

Just a word to the wise, I would wait a few days and monitor the answers on this thread. I bet there are a few other options that will pop up as more people have a better perspective on the subject then I do.

I finally settled on a Nodak Spud for my A2 build. It had the most wobble free fit to my A2 upper out of all the brands I tried. If you don't mind waiting, have them put you on their waiting list. If you don't care about wobble free fitment, then just pick any lower you want.

Since the WW A1 upper assembly is not a true M16A1 clone, I would suggest to just use an A2 lower like the PSA AR-15 "Stealth" Stripped Lower Receiver.

    https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-stealth-lower.html

AR15Sport has a reproduction A1 type (not true repro) buttstock kit.

They also have a reproduction A1 pistol grip.

It is. Being void of a rollmark and any specific model description, it is perfect for that. Also, the upper receiver is a M16A1E1/C7 type upper, that design arose during the M16A2 series development. The upper receiver is referred to as an A2 with field sights.
