    .223/77TMK for semi, results

If anyone is interested in this bullet for a semi or bolt, I just got done working a load for both. The charge weight ended up being the same as the SMK in the semi and at mag length. Pretty pleased with the results and on this test, the primer type didn't seem to matter. Some time ago, I did do multiple groups and the 205M ended up being .1 or so better.

Stock LMT MRP with 20" 5R barrel, LMT 2 stage trigger and gen1 PST 4-16. Shot off a bench with Atlas bipod and rear squeeze bag.

The Labradar wasn't available, will get that soon

Tikka bolt has 2870 fps with 24" barrel LC12 case(different charge/length) no pic but it's a tad better grouping. Furthest I got to has been 628. Depending on the wind I'm 7-10 for 10 on a 5" plate.

Thanks. I did a round robin on these so, no explanation on the flyer on 23.2. Now I can start tracking things like 1st rounds from mag, etc. All were single loaded to keep the barrel temp down and a pause in between.

I'm in the middle of a reduced data test with H4895 and Hornady 75 BTHP for a short line 100 yard load. For the bolt gun

You just hit on two of my favorite components. IMR8208XBR and SMKs (tipped or not).

8208 XBR and the 77 gr SMK is my load as well. This is a typical group for me. That was six rounds at 100.

I have to double check, another load is with the Hornady 75 BTHP at 22.8 or 23 grains. 2607 with 22.8 and 2640 at 23, think a slight edge at 23, splitting hairs. Sister to that is 22.8 with H4895

I would love to get you some WOLF primers to see if you get similar results to what we've seen with tighter groups and S.D.s.
