Remington 14.5 p/w upper from cdnn

I recently got an email from cdnn, and in it was a link to their Remington 14.5” that I assumed they mounted to an upper and pinned and welded (as they advertised).
I got it in the mail yesterday,no pin or weld...they are gonna end up landing innocent people in a lot of trouble.
Honestly, the only reason I bought it was it had been pinned and welded.
They are going to be getting a phone call in the morning.

It's perfectly legal to put on an AR pistol without pinning and welding.

    1. It was advertised as pinned and welded.
2.I will just drill/pin/weld and finish it myself,I just thought for 289$ it would save me some work.

I think the OP is implying that there are people out there who won't bother checking if it's pinned and welded and slap it on a rifle lower without realizing it.

Not to mention, that's straight up deception to the seller if it's marked as pinned and welded.

Call em, raise hell and see what they say. More than. Likely they will tell you to ship it back for a full refund, and be pretty dismissive about anyone else's qualms or issues. Legally implicating or otherwise.

Agreed that it lands a gun owner in potential hot water if they don’t have a registered SBR or a pistol config when they take possession.

    It’s this one right?

Just to clarify; how do you know it's not pinned and welded? Was the flash hider separate from the barrel? Or is it installed and you can't see an obvious weld bead?

I hope everyone avoids the ATF agent with the measuring tape at the next range session.

    Be safe out there folks!

Really though, call and tell them.

Did you take the MD off? Or can you just not see the weld? Some PW jobs are legit invisible if done be someone who cares.

And yes,I was able to easily remove the yhm flash hider with a standard length 3/4” open end wrench.
