There’s a reason Fedex, DHL and UPS are huge companies. Because the gigantic post office couldn’t deliver a package with your address written on it to you with any semblance of efficiency or alacrity. A lot of us have forgotten how hard to use and slow to deliver the USPS was only a few years ago. Competition actually improved them to their current sorry state from abysmal.
As someone else mentioned, how effective would Fed-Ex, DHL, or UPS be if they had to service every address in America, everyday?
Not saying that USPS service is stellar, but I don't feel UPS and FedEx are tasked to do what the USPS does.
Got to admit, though, I've sure received a lot of AR500 plates and bulk bullets in USPS Flat Rate Boxes.
