    American Classics

Still confined here in Switzerland. I was fondling some guns, then I realised that in my mind those four really represent US small arms in a classic way, steel and wood

A pump action shotgun Winchester 1300 defender
A Winchester 1894 trapper lever action rifle
    A classic revolver S&W 27
A classic semi auto handgun Colt Gvt Model series 70

    Very nice!

I really like the Win 94s (and the Trappers are just sexy) and my wife has a 5" pre Model 10 M&P 38 Special (1948-ish). I personally consider them classics because they were ubiquitous from the turn of the century until the 70s.

Your M27 and 1911 are examples of the best of their breed and the guns that guys carrying and shooting the M&Ps dreamed about. The M27s are amazing to me because they were never built to a price - they were made as well as Smith and Wesson knew how.

The 1200/1300 is a very fast pump to use with the spring loaded bolt/carrier assembly.

You would get no argument from me on this.
Although a Colt P model should probably be in there too
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.
