Still no word on the collegiate sporting seasons so to speak, but a lot of colleges have brought fall athletes back onto campus for workouts and are keeping them in "isolation." The seasons are going to happen, but when and how is still up in the air.
I had to chuckle at a JUCO baseball coach I know and what he said about quarantining athletes yesterday. Basically: "you can't bring college athletes back to campus and expect them to stick to isolation. Hormones will make any attempt at that impossible."
Our daughter is going to Washington to play soccer. Athletes are going to begin a 2 week quarantine August 1st. It is a JUCO without dorms so daughter will be in an off campus house with 3 other girls. They are hoping to have a fall season with plan B of playing in the spring. I'm not very confident she won't lose another season of soccer...
Fortunately, HS soccer was a fall sport so she did get to play her senior year.
Tough on these kids who have worked so hard for so many years. Glad it's just soccer and not her career like some folks.
