Celebrity Jeopardy with Norm Macdonald playing Burt Reynolds. Any of them. Comedy gold.

    Not skits, but great commercials...

Also, they designed the perfect car for the affluent living in shady neighborhoods

But I digress... SNL hasn't been funny in decades and RIP Phil Hartman...

Best thing to come out of SNL in the past couple of decades was Celebrity Jeopardy.

Experience is a cruel teacher, gives the exam first and then the lesson.

Franken was a huge douche even then and he is the reason SNL got killed in the first place. When he did the skit "Limo for a Lamo" criticizing NBC president for poor ratings and suggesting that people write in to NBC to demand that Franken also be given limousine service, Fred Silverman instead decided to non renew everyone's contract.

Franken was expected to take over for Loren Michaels as executive producer and instead was not invited back along with the rest of the SNL cast. In 1981 Dick Ebersol took over as executive producer with a new cast that included Joe Piscipo, Charles Rocket and Gilbert Gottfried. By 1982 Eddie Murphy, Robin Duke and Tim Kazurinsky had joined the cast.

Ironically the early 80s and the new cast would produce some of the best SNL skits of all time. ETA: Looks like they don't actually host the Limo for a Lamo skit. But here is an overview.

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

I Live In A Van Down By The River !

Well its hardly underrated but this one is a friggin Classic. There is to many to list from back in the day that's for sure & me being an old fart I use to watch most Saturday Nite Shows. New ones suck 110%, its bad enough they suck but they go on forever it seems. They have some funny people still on the show but the writting is terrabile ! Kate Mckinnon is pretty dam funny I will say along with a few others. Its just a shame cuz it is an iconic show that has lost its way !
