LPVOs are the future but the point of this particular rifle is to be simple and light and for me; an ACOG satisfies more than a RDS. At times it has worn an EOtech but I settle for ACOG as daily driver.
A lot of you are going on about PID(which is important) and hinging it all on optics that (all things considered) are hovering around same max magnification (4x, 6x). I toyed with maybe using an RMR piggy back but it’s too busy. Both eyes open and the ACOG with its nuclear bright tritium kinda helps with quick acquisition itself.
I just wanted something compact. In everything there is a trade off. I just work around the fixed magnification rather than overload a gun.
Fastest, firstest, mostest.
I still like an ACOGed gun because they are clear, small, and tough and I don’t have to think about it too much. Not trying to re-invent the wheel. Just want a rifle that puts in work.
