    A Sub-$450 Bolt-Action Ringing Steel At 1,800 Yards

Based on the claims in the article, I posted it to this forum, certainly seems BS to this oldMan. I don't see how his setup would do 1800yds.

The 1st picture is a Vortex, not sure what scope is sitting atop the tri-pod.

According to the article he used a Nikko Sterling Diamond 4x-14x.

He claimed to hit 4 of 10 rounds on a 24" target with a rifle that prints sub-MOA groups, so I don't think I would call BS. It is interesting that the round he used is very close to subsonic at 1800 yards.

If he has a rifle that can shoot MOA groups and a cartridge with enough gas to make it to 1800, I don't see why that's unbelievable.

I would agree, seems likely with a good shooter.

Agreed, I dont and many of us on here don't want to do it with a cheap hunting gun, but it could be done.

    That's a respectable combo.

I put friends on at a mile with factory 700 Varmints in 243 and 308, and Dick's Black Friday Mosin-Nagants and 7mm Magnum Mausers topped with Tasco 10X Super Snipers.
