He seemed to have issues with the Israeli Government, not necessarily the Jewish people, I am getting one(Zion)next week if all pans out.

I love mine so far. I felt it was a lot of gun for the money and IWI is known for some very good firearms. Last upgrade is an Aim Surplus titanium nitride BCG, which should be here any day now.

As of Nov 2020 I dont think you will find a sub $1000 rifle that compares to the IWI. It isn't a Colt,DD,KAC, LMT and it isnt priced like them either. It IS a step or two and maybe 3 above most other commercial rifles in this class. It is a basic rifle that has in my sample of one demonstrated solid performance and excellent build quality and quality control. It is assembled out of solid components and checks a lot of the boxes. It would be hard to go wrong with one of these as a first AR or even as a 5th or 10th AR. Just my two cents.

In your opinion, where/how does it fall short of a Colt? If I were to recommend this rifle to a friend as a beater, what caveats should I mention?

I keep clicking on this thread when it gets bumped hoping some of you actually got this thing and shot it. Can we limit this thread to discussion of the rifle, please?
