    Exclamation

I had no use for Koresh OR Branch Davidianism, either. That said, I have GREAT use for the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, & 14th Amendments, which got burned, and flattened by gummint tanks that day in '93 (I was in radio at the time, and said OVER THE AIR - "Well there GOES our 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, & 14th Amendments up in flames!").

And IF the gummint had found so much as a PART of one, "illegally modified, AR-15 (to full auto)" under all that rubble, the lamestream media TO THIS DAY... would be running this little silhouette in the corner of the screen during EVERY lamecast.

Forgive my ignorance, as I was extremely young (and mostly interested in HOA and ME in ‘93), but was this a driving factor behind the AWB? The timing seems right.

I have watched several documentaries on this. I would like to view this one. I was very young with this happened, so didn’t understand what was going on at the time. As an adult I am appalled by the events.

HOA and ME? As a kid you were interested in Home Owners Associations? LOL

No, the first federal semi auto ban was in 1989 via Bush I, who was also president when the Weaver raid occurred and the Waco raid planning ball started rolling.

What the FBI failed to consider prior to the final assault or admit to during the subsequent hearings was that the victims who sought shelter in the "vault" - women and children - died from cyanide poisoning. When CS gas burns it releases hydrogen cyanide, which when inhaled causes the muscles to painfully and severely contract. The bodies of the women and children inside the vault were contorted in grotesque ways because of the affects of breathing the hydrogen cyanide.

The dangers of using CS gas in such an environment were well documented before Waco.

So, they should have complied with an unconstitutional "requirement" in order to not get shot and burned alive by the 'good guys'?
Kinda tells you everything you need to know about this country...

I mean, yeah...I get your point, but still.
There's just to many 'reasonable' requirements that have or will become cause for government action. Kinda like having a tail light out...

Nah, got to back to '89, Patrick Purdy, the Stockton school yard he shot up and Roberti-Roos Assault Weapons Control Act of 1989.
The simple fact of the matter is this, America has never not been great.

It was intended to be a showpiece to demonstrate why we NEEDED an AW ban.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
