    I’m tired.

Everywhere I look, I see thieves and liars held up as “good people,” promoted as role models, and heralded as leadership figures. They never fail to prosper. YouTube is littered with them, all making a living from the unsuspecting and the unwary.

Selfless and honest people are on the wane. Some have died, others faded into obscurity, and a few have rejected a path of truthfulness, and gone the worldly route. This country has become very twisted and perverse.

I really don’t see much of anything to look forward to, and there isn’t anything that gives me any joy.

Psychopathy is rewarded, integrity is punished. Opportunism, materialism, selfishness, deceit and exploitation of others - these are the values of New Age America. And there’s just no end in sight.

Hard to get excited about living, anymore. Just wasted days spent in lock-up, because “government says so,” while everyday folks go broke. Feels like I’m trapped in a lunatic asylum.

I’m very tired of it all, and constantly wonder why the good Lord doesn’t put a stop to it.

    Dark days.

”This is the future. And it's dystopian. The new economy. Circus and bread. Short term stimulation and arousal. Then back to delivering for Amazon.

98% will plod away delivering for UberEats and live vicariously through 2% on social media.”

Don't hesitate to reach out man. I've had my dark days too, sometimes it doesn't get better without a helping hand, even if it's just someone for a sounding board.

This isolation, lockdown, whatever you call it can get to you.

It’s been tough I admit. I know it seems overwhelming sometimes especially lately with way to much time to think. But there are good people still left they just don’t advertise everywhere. Reach out I’m happy to talk as I’m sure others are. Just remember brother you aren’t alone

Thanks for letting me vent, fellas. The insanity and misconduct has been slowly grinding me down...

You aren't alone, we are all in this together.

I know it can seem as if bad folks are the majority, and they catch all the breaks, but if you reflect on it, there are a lot more good people than bad people.

It may be a little more difficult in these times, but do often doing something for others, to feel the tie that binds us good folks, can be a tonic. Something as simple as checking on a neighbor and offering to get groceries can serve to lift your spirits.

If you are feeling the black dog of depression nipping at your heels, if you find it hard to get out of bed, if you aren't enjoying activities you once found pleasurable, if your hygiene is suffering, then you might need to talk to someone. Reach out, it is just chemicals in your brain, it's not a sign you aren't worthy.

Ask me how I know. PM if you need someone to talk/vent.

    You aren't alone.
Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President... - Theodore Roosevelt, Lincoln and Free Speech, Metropolitan Magazine, Volume 47, Number 6, May 1918.

Every Communist must grasp the truth. Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun. Our principle is that the Party commands the gun, and the gun must never be allowed to command the Party Mao Zedong, 6 November, 1938 - speech to the Communist Patry of China's sixth Central Committee

Whatever you do, don't look at history too hard.

Despite all the truly reprehensible people that prosper today, and I mean much worse than youtube folks, people used to suffer under the likes of Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot and Mao. Not sure what your situation is but I'm guessing you are not in a work camp.

Shit even people in China generally have things better than they did a generation ago.

We are pretty far from Dark Days.

You can't fix the world, but you can "fix up" your little corner of it. It's not your job to make the world moral, honest, safe or any of that stuff. You can only control yourself and try and help your loved ones. Nobody got rich being honorable, honest, selfless, kind or decent...the reward is you don't count yourself among the hordes of reprehensible pieces of absolute dog shit. Do your best, help those you are responsible for and understand when it's "not my job, not my chair."

And yes, sometimes it seems like you are grossly outnumbered by the lowest common denominators of society and that's often true. But if you let them break you down, they score another win. F em.

If you can't find anything to live for, you aren't looking hard enough. Are you taking care of you and your own? Is it job done and mission accomplished? If not, that is where you need to get your head at. If that is good to go, congratulations you are doing better than a lot of other people. And if you are truly fortunate enough to be in that position, find somebody who could use some help and lend a hand.

I've been way up and I've been way down, winning and defeat are largely perspective and just a matter of where your head is at.

And seriously if the covid cabin fever is getting to you, realize you have internet (hopefully food and every other need) and some people are lots worse off. Think of it like summer break when you were a kid, enjoy it while it lasts because much sooner than later we are all gonna be back to work doing doubles trying to play catch up while society shut down for a couple months.

Don't Let Them Win. Seriously man, throw a pizza in the oven and have a coke and realize you still are living better than 70% of the planet.

Thanks, brother. I appreciate the perspective.

I just wish to God the good people about which you’re talking - and I count all of you among these - could just be left alone to work and support their families and live their lives honestly, and in relative peace.

But we appear to be living in a state of never-ending turmoil, malice, hatred, abuse, and so on, without end. General Flynn, Russiagate, impeachment circus, Ukrainegate, “white privilege,” “resist,” COVID19, Virginia, California - 3+ years of this lunacy.

It’s out of hand altogether, and needs to stop. But it never stops, you know?

Wise words, and excellent advice. Thanks much!
