Out of this entire mess the thing that pisses me off the most is these elected officials dictating what employees are essential and which aren’t. Cuomo and his ilk need to ask the unemployed furniture salesman who cannot pay his mortgage or the laid off waitress who is standing in a food line to feed her kids if their jobs are “essential”.

Are you kidding! That's a small price to pay when lives need to be saved. Even if we have to put millions out of work to save even one life it's worth it. Just ask Gov. Cuomo. Now there's a man with his priorities squared away.

Even a delay of a week could cost someone their life.
The comparison you’re making is silly and you’re being purposely obtuse. We go to great strides to reduce car fatalities. This includes innovative safety equipment, laws and punishments for not following them, inspections, properly designed roads, licenses to drive which can be revoked, etc. These things come at a cost but we all pay it because it’s the reasonable thing to do. As much as I enjoy driving old muscle cars, I much prefer the comfort and safety of newer vehicles.

So maybe, if you want to use car fatalities, then that means you would be fine with opening things yet requiring some basic precautions such as masks, social distancing, etc. until we have a better handle on things.

And no one is saying we must shut down the world if it means saving one life, keep building those straw men if that’s what you enjoy doing in your free time though.

Well you have some good points. But it all comes down to the health of the person.

Maybe our government masters should have started with the least intrusive practices before running off in a panic and blindly believing models and "not knowing" scientists and coming ever so close to destroying the people and the country. There is a cost to living free.

I'm sure it has been much worst on average since the '50s. And here we are still driving the blasted death traps. What really chaps my hide though is that governments have signed off on this carnage. Since its obvious we're too stupid to save ourselves, the government's should have stepped in long ago to save us, because saving lives is the most important thing we can do. Just ask Andrew Cuomo, he said that if it saved one life it was worth locking us down...I think he's my new hero.
Omg. So u want a 1 world govt dictatorship. Moved to china.
Dude come on. You sound like billy boy. We need "vaccines" to save the people. We wont have a normalcy until everyone is vaccinated.

A lot of shit happens in this world. How about people do a better job of raising kids. Dont let them be raised by the propaganda of the school system.
Your literally saying a few of the elites should step in and make more laws and rules. Well how about ban guns too because there are small few of dumb asses kills themselves with it or others.

Either your trolling or the sad part of it is, your serious.

People like u is what and why govt has over reach. People like u likes to look up a select few for help.

The future is scary. That's all I have to say.

Ah it all makes sense now, you disbelieve anything related to science and clearly know more about diseases than epidemiologists. Why didn’t someone tell Trump TomMcC from M4C has this whole thing figured out? I can’t believe we had this SME here the whole time and his knowledge was wasted.

Oh gee wiz you caught me didnt you?

But so you know, no I havent handed my mind over to scientists or politicians. You know like those scientists that tell us we're all going to die from climate change in 12 yrs. And those politicians that are more interested in remaking society in their socialist delusions because of the pandemic. But go ahead my man and keep bending over, you can be assured that your check is in the mail.

I don't believe the Titanic was "iceberg proof" or the models were anywhere near reality. I don't need to be an expert, I have eyes to reach that conclusion.

Here's an idea: Have your precious "experts" go back and determine exactly how the models were so wrong, before you expect me to believe they have the right answer now.

Asking that we reexamine the assumptions that got us here vs the data of what is now known, and then apply the least restrictive measures we can justify, is all I want.

A buddy of mine just told me that the CDC is revising their death numbers way down for C19. Anyone heard about this?
