Crap finish, black follower that tilts too easily and you've got to smack the mag on something to line all the rounds up before inserting the magazine.

These are junk magazines. Though I've read about people swearing by them.
The stock Colt 20rd mags are fine mags. The black followers work fine in 20rd straight mags. If you don't want them, send them to me I can't say I have ever had bullets shift forward and if I did I wouldn't blame the followers.

I have a 6721 and a 6920. I kept the 6920 completely stock and shoot the 6721. It works fine with 55gr up to 77gr ammo. With the setup I went with I liked the non-M4 barrel and it was sent to ADCO to be reprofiled. It's now lighter than the 6920 barrel and shoot excellent.

I've always agreed with this sentiment, though I will say that the Colt mag exteriors clean up NICE in about two minutes with some Break Free CLP and an old T-shirt. May as well hang onto them and keep them preserved and looking nice in the meantime.

With excellent 30 rounders on the market, I can't even figure out why anyone would want these. The only use I can see for them is if you used them on a long range AR build that you'd be shooting from the prone position with.

Thumbs up 20 rd Mags Can Be Good

Jack_Stroker, the 20 rd mags can serve a number of useful purposes. One is to have tactile regonition, to allow a user to to switch ammo types. Another is that the 20rders also have a lower prifle and can be easily stored in a weapon that will will be in a carry case, storage container, or small safe.

    Here's a link to a similar thread:

Patrick Ahern made some good comments in that thread when he wrote: "
Hold a hallway with a 6721 with light mounted for about 30 minutes. Trust me, you'll want a 6920."
