    Vertical Cam Pin Scratch/Gouge

Have a LMT Enhanched BCG in my 14.5 carbine length carbine. Only has 260 rounds of 62gr 5.56 (Winchester Open Tip) through it. Has a very noticeable vertical scratch/gouge in the cam pin. No idea what caused it. Any ideas?

Emails have been shot out to LMT and Primary Arms where I bought it.

Need photos to see the exact area but if it’s the spot I’m thinking about it’s a timing issue/gas issue. What buffer are you running?

My mistake, I think you are referring to the cam pin in the bcg and not the receiver.

You see any unusual wear in the track that it moves, in the bolt carrier?

Just took it back out, only thing i can think of, is that is the spot where it strikes part of the groove path. Not sure if anyone here has used one (LMT BCG) before has seen that?

This looks similar to yours in an older thread which no longer displays the photo. However, it is displayed in the google search page. One of those crazy deals.

I'm seeing the start of wear, which should get a certain point and then stop. I don't see anything to worry about.
