Rand would make a good POTUS. The problem is he will never be nominated. Two reasons why:

    1. He has great ideas, but he just can't sell them. I'd tend to think many if not most centrists and conservatives would agree with his policies. The problem is, as we saw in 2016, is he just can't sell them. Rand always comes off as angry. You want to agree with him that "Government sucks!" but you find yourself wondering "what is the bushy headed guy so angry about?" He's not a politician in the fact he has no way of sugar coating what he's saying. I could completely get behind his positions, but he has to be able to sell them to the American public at large.

    2. The "establishment" is going to oppose him if he runs again in 2024. Facing facts here, 2024 is going to be a crazy primary season regardless of what happens this November. Rand is so opposed to many of the things "mainstream" Republicans support which can cause him problems because, again, he can't sell why such-and-such isn't a good idea and we should be opposed to it.

I like Rand, but I think he needs to stay right where he's at in the Senate where he can influence more than as a POTUS..

    That is pretty absurd.

Trying to think of another single President who didn't leave after two terms and I think FDR is the only one. Even Clinton didn't try it and if anyone was gonna give it a go it would have been Obama and even he didn't try it.

    ^^^^^ This

How I wish this forum software let us leave +1 or thumbs up or likes on posts

Why anyone thinks Trump would not leave the WH if he were to lose, or fulfill two terms and try to stay, is beyond me. He has been a much more decisive, less waffle-y President than Obama, but has not been any more "authoritarian" than Obama, and probably less. His "executive orders" rate is about the same as any modern president, and I personally think he has accepted and dealt with court rulings and orders better than Obama did, who "had his pen" and did whatever he could to have his way, congress or courts be damned. This TDS Angst s getting old.

Considering that its the other side insisting that the election be mail-in only, or suspended altogether, I very much doubt Cheeto will be el Presidente for life. I'm not even a Trump supporter, and your comment is ridiculous.

Considering he is a practicing doctor, I'd be willing to bet he knows a fair share about medicine. You might not like what he has to say, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know anything.

Not only is this absurd, it's down right stupid. Have you been spending to much time on whatever the left equivalent of Infowars is?

He is a practicing Doctor that performs surgeries 4-5 times a year in Kentucky for charity and also does it in central America. I have a feeling he knows a good deal about medicine. You probably shouldn't let your dislike for his views cause you to make stupid comments.

    What are your medical credentials?

I certainly remember reading various gun related message boards that it was certain Obama would cancel the election and stay in power forever bringing in a reign of USSR level communism. I thought it was stupid then and now find it hilarious the left is running the same playbook but on the other side.

LOL... I guess that M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine (the same university that Dr. Ron Paul received his M.D. from) disqualifies Rand Paul somehow. Maybe you would rather get your medical information from Greta Thunberg?

So I'm putting my tinfoil hat on now.

If the dems had any clue Killary was not going to win the election, they would have ensured President Trump was never inaugurated and Obama's reign continued.

His victory caught them flat-footed and the attempts to block his presidency were poorly planned and executed, as well as criminal, as we are finding out. The "impeachment" was a desperate tactic to remove him from office before someone wised up and asked who authorized surveillance on an incoming President.

Trump refusing to leave office is the stupidest thing to come from a libtards mind yet.

    Andy
