HK VP9 Use and Resources thread.

    Hey Peeps,

I have seen a few threads on the VP9 lately, and just having done a bunch of digging around trying to find some good resources to support this pistol I found there was not much out there. I was going to use this thread to document what I found in the hopes that it helps out others. While a lot of it will be stuff I have not used it may just be what someone else was looking for. Anything I do get I will be sure to add some picks and do my best to answer any questions. I am not a professional or competitive user but I can give you an honest regular guy perspective on it.

If anyone else wants to contribute that would be great. Maybe I can snag the first reply to make a master-list of items and try to break them out by categories.

    Cheers,

If you’re looking for a place to get an existing slide machined for optics I can recommend Primary Machine, they did a very nice job on my VP9 long slide. Their refinish work is also nice, no machining marks to be had, and a nice even finish. I had mine salt bath nitrided after machining.

    Pic?
I'll have to see if I can try or rent a pistol with RDS on it. Seems like something id like.

Also do they have a website? I can try digging it up and adding to my list above.

The pistol as it is now:

Aimpoint ACRO P-1 on VP9 long slide, milled by Primary Machine. The iron sights are by Dawson Precision made to Primary Machine’s specs, just plain old inky black front and rear, they co-witness in the lower 1/4 of the window. Lazy Wolf flat faced aluminum trigger, and an HK Parts match sere spring in combination with the stock trigger return spring.

Also an example of what it will do standing offhand with decent ammo and me running the trigger. It’s realistically probably a no shit 1” group at 25 yards slide and barrel.

I have a VP9 T that I carry in a GCode OSL with a Surefire X300U, & was machined for a Trijicon RMR by Pacific Mountain Machine...they also installed the Heinie suppressor height sights, & nitrided the slide.
I can't say enough about this combo, or PMMs work & turnaround time.

My VP9 with Surefire X300 rides in a Safariland 6390-5932 ALS holster for training & competion. Great rig but keep in mind Safariland's lead times are nearly 90 days right now.

Haven't found a concealed carry holster that I am totally excited about yet but so far I like this one the best.... https://standardcousa.com/collections/geronimo

For parts I usually use HKparts.net

Thanks everyone for the suggestions so far. Those are some pretty sweet set ups!

I had looked at some Safariland holsters and think eventually I wlll save up and get one of those.
I will find the link to the one Jonnyt16 has and also include the other ones I find.

I just started looking into the different versions or Safariland holsters. How do you like that one?
I will post the version i was looking at I can't find the link I had up at the moment.

I am sure the 90 day lead time is well worth it once you get it. Although I am having a hard enough time waiting for my G-code with their 10-14 day lead time lol.
