Hard to boycot China

Yea, until we bring manufacturing for those items back home, those small electronics, for the mean time, still have to be bought from China.

the other side is sourced parts could be made in US or more honest assembled in US but the parts would all be from China and the assembly is often screwing one screw in the case or something stupid that makes it basically %99 made in China anyway

yeah its near if not impossible in today's tech world to avoid China products hope one day wont be so but not going to loose sleep over it as I get more minimal in my wants needs and go back to super simple life I can do this by just avoiding so much of the commercialism that has been pushed and most all eat it up with a new iphone each year the latest this or that V1 V2 V3 OH I have to have that latest model

True. Large scale electronics manufacturing will never come back to the US.

Repubs wanted to make it 20 years to BDS, but Democrats wouldn't go along (except certain ones like Schumer).

I have been doing the best I can to avoid Chinese products, sometimes you simply cannot. At that point I judge the need, I mean it's not like you are going to pitch your phone instead of buying the Chicom charger. There is also the fact that the Chinese have already been paid for that one, but if we make enough noise/economic impact they won't be getting paid nearly as much in the future. You can only do what you can do, it's going to take some time to pull the rug out from under china.

I need a new fast charger for my Samsung Note9, I went to Amazon, I went on google.

I spent an hour looking, getting more pissed off.

I found Samsung charger from Samsung, list price is $20 more than the stuff on Amazon. Even with that I can't verify it isn't made in China by a sub contractor.

I am frustrated, that my hate for China has no easy solution.

Yes I said hate, I have watched my company go backwards 1.5 years of work meaning profit gone in 3 months. A friend in Seattle has watched his company of 30 years crash down to zero, with no chance of coming back.

Now I can't find a made in USA, or Mexico, or Viet Nam, or even in hell for that matter, fast charger for my phone.

Im GLAD to see others making that effort. I too go way out of my way, spend more time AND money to avoid China crap. Almost popped today on a shooting mat from Midway..looked nice, hell Im sure it IS nice, had the features, ect...I thought Id better check..yep...made in China. My search continues.
Only when/if it is impossible to find, or totally un-affordable and I cant live w/o it...will I buy China crap from now on. And there is little I cant do without.
