Anybody have one of these JP duty rifles? Obviously, they are most known for tier 1 competition guns but I’ve never seen the tactical guns catch on.

There is nothing about that spec sheet that says “duty” to me. Big ass brake, 3.5# trigger, barrel heat sink, non-standard accessory attachment system, etc. It may be a fine rifle, but its definitely a gamer gun.

Disclosure: I am affiliated PRN with a tactical training center, but I speak only for myself. I have no idea what we sell, other than CLP and training. I receive no income from sale of hard goods.
It's their attempt to split the difference between a gamer and a duty. As it sits it's a pound too heavy to me. That particular handguard is a boat anchor.
Their "Patrol Rifle" seems like a better fit for duty use.

Flash hider, 6.6 lbs total weight, 4-4.5 lb trigger, etc.
It ditches the game-gun specific items like the muzzle brake and thermal dissipator in favor of lighter weight and a more practical, less concussive, muzzle device, and saves about $550 to boot.

I had the patrol. It was nice but I didn’t care for the handguard not being simple mlok. I’m not big on adjustable gas blocks on a duty gun(personal preference of course) and it had it on mine. It is a nice rifle besides that.
