MMC Armory (Minnies Machine Company) Gov Contract 14.5” Socom Barrels

Shot my MMC barrel today, and shoots as nice as my Colt or FNMI SOCOM barrels. Very impressed on how nice it grouped when sighting in the Eotech EXPS-3 at 100 yards. Nothing special on the ammo, Fiocchi M193 ball.

I got mine out again yesterday. Worked up a dope sheet to get me out to 750 yards with the 62 gr HPBT hand load.

I ran an M4-1000 suppressor last week, but it was just too gassy to enjoy. We might try another thread on can next to see if it's the barrel or the AAC can.

Finally shot mine but only at 55yrds. open sights kept in 5" circle w/ 55 and 62 fmj. Only funny thing was when adjusting front sight the pin/adjuster hydraulically locked in the downward position, freed up after about 20rds when sight warmed up, just got done blowing out the storage grease/oil from sight pin.

Man, I didn’t realize this thread blew up the way it did lol. I’ll have to take some time to catch up.
I posted a bore scope video on YouTube. Not sure if it’s been mentioned here, but there was a review done on YouTube that showed some issues with the chrome lining of one of them. All 3 of mine checked out perfectly, so I’m hoping that one was just a one off. Anyways, when I get some time later today, I’ll give an update on mine. Very pleased with them!

That's good to hear. I'm obsessed with mine. Literally the one gun I've been looking forward to shooting each of the last several weeks. The BCM QRF is heaven on the thing.

Same here man! Definitely pleased with mine. Haven’t had a chance to catch up on this thread, but I’ll get some pics up of what I’ve done so far once I get some time. Ones a C8A3 inspired build and another is just a M4A1 build. The C8 is pretty sweet

What does "barrel extension not clocked" mean? I'm thinking that it has to be clocked or else the M4 feed ramps wouldn't line up. Does he simply mean that it's not clocked as precisely as it should be? What are the consequences?
