Any interest in a Glock 26X (19 grip 26 slide)?

Any interest in a Glock 26X (19 grip 26 slide)?

Particularly if they added a rail.

    I'd rather have a 26L (26 frame 19 slide).

I think that is readily achievable with aftermarket stuff already, or by simply cutting down the grip of a G19.

The problem with most folks when running a 26 frame is they add finger or mag extensions and end up with nearly a 19 height.

Sooo...a double stack 43X? Wouldn't the Shield Arms 15 round mag fix that?

That's what makes the 43X great, it's thinn(er). A thicker gun with a G19 frame I may as well just carry the 19. There's no real benefit to having a slightly shorter slide.

Yeah but you could have the discomfort of the 26 when carrying IWB, the performance of a 26, and a bigger grip that's harder to conceal.

It would be all the rage.

Not really. The extension I use adds pretty much nothing to the backstraps. The finger bit that extends rides against the top of my belt. I don’t notice a difference between with and without the extension.

A subgroup of AIWB CCW folks (me for one) have no issue with the width of a g19/17 - it is the SLIDE LENGTH when seated that causes problems. The pistol you describe would go a long way towards solving THAT issue, and still maintaining mag compatibility with most glocks.

    As has been noted,
Depending on height, leg length to torso ratio,
It is an appreciable difference and interest to some.

I do find a G26 with the mag base that gives me 13 total rounds and a good grip to be very handy sized and just enough length difference seated to be more comfortable than a 19.

I don’t find the width differences , a tenth of an inch or so, in the slim guns to be of an appreciable difference to me. Well, let me rephrase that. It is noticeable in the hand and when compared side by side. When put in a holster and tried on and worn it is not appreciable to me. I would buy a factory GEN5 gun that was essentially a 19 frame with a 26 upper.

    But I have two 17s, three 19s, and a 26 already.

I’m not sure how it would go overall on the market.
