    Throw a G-19 magazine up in a G-26, vet it for reliability and roll on. That combo actually works nicely, IME.

    This. I see no need for a 26 when I can get higher magazine capacity in a slimmer firearm. The only reason I’d consider the 26 is commonality with 19/17 mags and the ambi slide release of the gen 5’s.

    Yes, there is a significant legacy market that already has 17/19/26s,
    And find the magazine compatibility desirable.

    I would. They would look cool and I shoot the G26/27 just fine. I love my Glock 45; all the perfectly logical counter arguments notwithstanding, I like the way it looks and shoot it well. Why not?
